Tweetforlife (english)?

Some of my english-speaking friends on twitter asked me what that tweetforlife thingy is. Since we’d love to have as many people aboard as possible, I’m writing this post.

Tweetforlife is something we, the Belgian twittercommunity, do to aid the fundraising Belgian Radiostation Studio Brussel is doing for the Red Cross. More specifically, the money will go to orphans whose parents died of aids.

The idea is that as much people on twitter sign up and promise to tweet a certain message. This message will be up for auction. So companies/organisations/people can bid and the winner, the one with the highest bid on wednesday the 22nd at noon, can decide which message will be tweeted by everyone who signed up. Wanna join in? Come on then!

I wonder what would have happened if the site was in English, how many non BE tweeps would have joined in and if certain other advertisers or companies would be jumping to get their message sent out.

Great that you guys put in the effort, lets see how big this can get!

Yeah, @YvesHanoulle mentioned it as well. Would be very interesting to see what that would give, but on the other hand I’m the kind of guy who wants to walk before I start running ;) Hey, who knows, if this thing gets big… next year?
