Ah zo schoooon! Mijn Mama, die bij Brussels Airlines werkt, stuurde me vrijdag deze interne boodschap door:

Dear Colleagues,

Last night a baby girl was born on board our flight SN 352 Kinshasa-Douala-Brussels.

Mother (31) and child are doing well, thanks to the excellent care of two doctors, who happened to be on the same flight, and of course of our entire crew.

The birth took place at 04.00 this morning (Belgian time) when the aircraft flew over the Sahara desert.

Both mother and child have been transported to a Brussels’ hospital after the landing. According to the latest information received, they are both in good condition.

We warmly thank our crew for their excellent support in this extraordinary situation!

The baby girl has been called after our first officer and will carry the name ‘Daniella’.
